MOSCOW, June 30. /TASS/. The newest large hydrographic boat of the 19920 project "Anatoly Knyazev" will be laid on Wednesday at the Oka shipyard, the press service of the Navy reported.
"Today, on June 30, a large hydrographic boat of the 19920 project will be solemnly laid down for the hydrographic service of the Russian Navy at the Okskaya Shipyard in Navashino (Nizhny Novgorod Region)," the message says.
The boat was named "Anatoly Knyazev" in honor of the organizer and participant of the Arctic tests of the first high-latitude navigation complex during the cruise of a nuclear submarine to the North Pole in 1963.
The large hydrographic boats of the 19920 project are multifunctional and have a wide range of capabilities for exploring the seabed, water, as well as servicing coastal objects of the navigation and hydrographic support system for the Navy's activities.
