The International exhibition of arms and Military Equipment "MILEX–2021"has ended in the Belarusian capital.
One of the most popular expositions of the exhibition, held from June 23 to 26, 2021 in Minsk, was the products of the Russian Aerospace defense Concern Almaz-Antey. The guests of the exhibition were shown anti-aircraft missile systems of the Tor family, the Buk-M2E medium-range complex, the Antey-4000 anti-aircraft missile system, as well as the Adjutant universal target training complex and the operation of a number of new radar stations.
Within the framework of the exhibition, representatives of the Concern held meetings with potential customers, representatives of foreign state structures and defense enterprises.
An important part of the work program of Russian specialists in Minsk was the negotiations with the Belarusian side on the maintenance and modernization of air defense systems, the supply of spare parts and components, training in operation, maintenance and repair.
Representatives of Almaz-Antey Holding discussed with the Belarusian side the creation of a service center on the territory of the Republic of Belarus for the repair and maintenance of Tor-M2K anti-aircraft missile systems in the interests of the Belarusian military department, and approved with colleagues a scheme of cooperation within the framework of the work.
"The approved cooperation scheme is a significant stage in our cooperation with the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus and the most important step in the concern's activities to create a service center for the repair and maintenance of Tor anti - aircraft missile systems on the territory of our partners," said Vyacheslav Dzirkaln, Deputy General Director of the Concern for Foreign Economic Activity.
According to the document, part of the work on the repair and maintenance of Tor-M2K combat vehicles will be carried out on the Belarusian territory: for these purposes, the capacities of the 2566th plant for the repair of electronic weapons and the Minsk plant of wheeled tractors will be attracted.
On the Russian side, the Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant "Kupol" will take part in the repair work - a defense enterprise where complexes belonging to the family of high-class combat vehicles "Tor"were created and are still being produced today.
The first batteries of the Tor-M2K anti-aircraft missile system entered service with the 120th Anti-aircraft Missile Brigade of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces in 2011-2012. By the beginning of 2014, the 120th Brigade had formed the Tor-M2K anti-aircraft missile division consisting of three batteries. At the end of 2016, the Russian complexes entered service with the 740th Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade of the Republic of Belarus.

The Tor-M2K anti-aircraft missile system is one of the versions of the Tor-M2 anti-aircraft missile system developed and manufactured by the Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant Kupol. It can be distinguished, first of all, by the wheeled chassis. The complex is designed for ground forces, it protects against air strikes, missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles at distances up to 15 kilometers and at altitudes up to 12 kilometers.
The concern of East Kazakhstan Region "Almaz-Antey" supplies its products to the Republic of Belarus and develops cooperation relations with Minsk on the basis of the interstate agreement on the development of military-technical cooperation.
