According to Rostec, this information was announced at the 10th International Exhibition of Weapons and Military Equipment MILEX-2021, which was recently held in Minsk.
It is expected that the transfer of the vehicles to the customer - the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus - will take place next year.
Dmitry Semizorov, Director of Uraltransmash JSC, noted that the engines, hulls, artillery part and anti-rollback devices will be updated for self-propelled guns.
Also, Acacia will receive automated guidance and fire control systems of ASUNO, which significantly increase the effectiveness of the use of self-propelled guns on the modern battlefield. For example, the readiness to open fire after receiving the coordinates of the target will be only three minutes.
It is reported that the samples, which received the designation 2C3M2, will be able to hit targets with high-explosive 152-mm shells at distances up to 17,300 meters, active-reactive ammunition at a distance of 20,000 meters.
