During the attack on the Indian air base in the disputed region of Kashmir, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) could be used with explosives, which was the first such attack for the entire time of action in the region by Islamist militants.
This was reported in a statement by Indian officials, the Associated Press (AP) reported.
Dilbagh Singh, the police chief of the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir (a former one-name Indian state), told the New Delhi Television news channel that"unmanned aerial vehicles with payloads were used in both explosions."
Singh called the attack a terrorist act.
