The design Bureau "Malakhit" presented at the naval Salon in St. Petersburg a project of a small submarine "Serval", designed for sabotage operations and capable of landing combat swimmers.
The main feature of the Serval is an air-independent power plant that can work both at depth and on the surface. Liquid oxygen is supplied to the gas turbine under water, you can switch modes on the go.
A lock chamber for the release of combat swimmers is mounted in the bottom of the Serval. In a container on the bow of the submarine, their own crew is waiting for them - the micro-submarine "Triton". If you swim nearby, there may be other equipment necessary for saboteurs - for example, mines-on the site of the "Triton".
- The project is at the stage of technical proposal. The appearance of the submarine, its main tactical and technical characteristics, the composition of equipment and weapons have been formed, " Nikolay Novoselov, Deputy General Director of SPMBM Malakhit, told FlotProm.
