In the Mediterranean Sea, the ships of the permanent connection of the Russian Navy will conduct missile firing 30 kilometers from the aircraft carrier strike group of Great Britain, led by the aircraft carrier Queen Elizabeth. According to its data, the exercises of the Russian Navy ships with missile launches will take place on June 26. The Mediterranean Sea zone south of Cyprus will be closed for them.
The NOTAM notifications note that the British aircraft carrier group operates from 1 to 30 June in a small area of the sea also south of Cyprus.

At the same time, on June 22 [...], information was published on the official website of the British Government that CSG21, led by HMS Queen Elizabeth, represents the largest concentration of British naval and air power of the last generation and that this is its first operational deployment, which is carried out jointly by the Royal Navy and the Royal Air Force.
It is noted that there are 18 British and American F35B aircraft on board HMS Queen Elizabeth, which is the largest number that has ever plied the seas. The aircraft are equipped with advanced sensors, flight control systems and stealth technologies.
In the Mediterranean, the British strike group is involved in an operation to combat the terrorists of the "Islamic State" (the organization is banned in the Russian Federation).
