Under the leadership of the officers of the Main Department of Training of the Troops of the Rosgvardiya, an instructor-methodical training session on tactical medicine with employees and military personnel of special units of the department is being held at the Sofrinsky operational brigade of the Central District near Moscow.
The military personnel of the separate special purpose detachment "Peresvet" and the intelligence unit of the Sofrin brigade, employees of the SOBR "Lynx" and the OMON "Zubr"take part in the gathering.
Classes are conducted by instructors of the Training Center for Tactical Medicine, specializing in first aid training. The five-day course for employees and military personnel of special units of the Russian Guard includes 20 lectures, seminars and practical classes – from the basics of human anatomy and physiology to techniques for stopping external bleeding in various ways in the field and providing first aid during the evacuation of a wounded aircraft.
The main emphasis, taking into account the specifics of the special units of the Rosgvardiya, is placed on providing first aid for injuries and injuries received while performing service and combat tasks.
- You must do everything to save a person's life. To do this, you need not only to have basic first aid skills, but also to be able to determine the nature of the injury and correctly apply the necessary set of measures. This is especially important for special forces, which performs the most complex combat tasks, " said Artem Kavtulin, chief instructor of the Tactical Medicine Training Center, Candidate of Medical Sciences.
During the practical classes, the Rosgvardeyets received skills in stopping external bleeding, evacuating the wounded in various ways, including from hard-to-reach places and from terrain with difficult terrain.
Tactical medicine occupies an important place in the training of the special forces of the Russian Guard. So, in 2019, this discipline was included in the program of competitions among special forces, which were held in the Smolensk region.
