The newest anti-submarine missile APR-3ME was launched into mass production. The first batch has already been delivered.
This was announced to TASS by Boris Obnosov, General Director of the Tactical Missile Weapons Corporation, as part of the International Naval Salon taking place in St. Petersburg. He added that specialists are also engaged in the development of new models of anti-submarine aircraft torpedoes. In the future, it is planned to replace the APR-3ME with a small-sized aviation anti-submarine torpedo. It should exceed today's samples in terms of range.
In addition, according to Boris Obnosov, the corporation's specialists are also engaged in a universal mine complex. It provides for the selection of targets in a wide range of parameters, processing of incoming information using modern algorithms, including artificial intelligence.
The APR-3ME hits targets at depths of up to 800 meters, the speed is up to 40 knots with sea waves up to six points.
