Moscow. June 24. INTERFAX-The destroyer Admiral Ushakov sailed to the Barents Sea to perform combat training tasks, maneuvering and anti-sabotage defense of the ship were worked out, the press service of the Northern Fleet reported on Thursday.
"In the Kola Bay, the ship carried out a passage through a conditionally mined water area in support of the base minesweepers of the Kola Flotilla water area protection unit of heterogeneous forces," the fleet said in a statement.
It is noted that the destroyer has worked out maneuvering and checking technical means of communication, navigation and radar weapons. "During the anchorage, the crew worked out practical grenade throwing as part of the exercise on the anti-submarine and sabotage defense of the ship when parked on an unprotected roadstead," the message emphasizes.
The press service of the fleet added that the departure of the destroyer will last several days.
"During this time, they will conduct a number of private exercises on radiation, chemical and biological protection, camouflage, electronic warfare, as well as perform artillery firing on sea and coastal targets.
