The Ministry of Internal Affairs has started using a new system for recognizing faces, silhouettes of people and cars in Russia.
"The system is already being used in five regions of the country," Andrey Telenkov, CEO of the Ntechlab developer company, is quoted by TASS. - The solution for silhouettes causes serious interest of our customers, we have a lot of requests."
The company presents a multi-object video analytics platform that displays video streams in real time, recognizing the silhouettes of passers-by and cars, Telenkov explained. When identifying outwardly similar people, the algorithm takes into account such signs as gait, height, facial hair, and a number of others. The available technologies allow us to determine silhouettes with very high accuracy, said the head of Ntechlab.
Earlier it was reported that a system has been launched in the Central Federal District that allows you to track cars, calculate stolen cars, as well as those who move with fake license plates. It is planned that by the end of the year it will start working in most regions of Russia. The Ministry of Internal Affairs will transfer the centers for automated recording of administrative offenses of the traffic Police to a new software called "Web".
