The US Missile Defense Agency has presented an animation with the detection, tracking and interception of a planning hypersonic block of an enemy missile, The Drive reports.
In particular, the video shows the destruction of a hypersonic missile aimed at one of the American aircraft carriers. The enemy's weapons were detected and tracked by space means. The interception of the hypersonic unit was carried out by a destroyer equipped with the Aegis combat system.
In September 2020, the Weapons Of World channel published on YouTube a video of exercises of the US Armed Forces( AF), in which a 155-millimeter Advanced Gun System (AGS) artillery system mounted on an M110 Howitzer self-propelled howitzer intercepted a BQM-167 Skeeter air target that imitated a Russian cruise missile.
