The Sea Breeze-2021 military exercises, which will be held on the territory of Ukraine and in the Black Sea from June 28 to July 10, "encourage militaristic sentiments in Kiev," Moscow calls on the United States and its allies to abandon the practice of military operations in the region.
This is stated in a statement published on Twitter by the Russian Embassy in Washington.
"The scale and clearly aggressive nature of the Sea Breeze exercises do not correspond in any way to the real security tasks in the Black Sea region," the diplomatic mission stressed.
It warned that these maneuvers "increase the risks of unintended incidents" and "encourage militaristic sentiments in Kiev."
"We urge the United States and its allies to abandon the practice of military operations on the Black Sea. All the problems that arise in this region can be solved by the Black Sea states without "imposing" external assistance, " the diplomatic mission noted.
