TSAMTO, June 23. A unit of unmanned aerial vehicles of the Russian military base of the 58th Combined Arms Army of the Southern Military District in South Ossetia has received modern domestic Tachyon complexes.
The new equipment will increase the combat capabilities of the units to conduct reconnaissance at any time of the day in various climatic conditions.
"Tachyon" is designed for conducting aerial reconnaissance at ranges up to 40 km day and night. The device is specially designed for use in various climatic zones, is equipped with a thermal imager and a video camera, remains controllable with a wind speed of up to 15 m / s, operates in the temperature range from -30 to +40 deg. s.
Within a month, qualified specialists will train the personnel of the compound to work with new drones at the Dzartsemi training ground, the press service of the Southern Military District reports.
