TSAMTO, June 18. On June 17, the Novorossiysk Naval Base of the Black Sea Fleet hosted a solemn ceremony of raising the St. Andrew's Flag and accepting the newest large hydrographic boat (BGC) of the project 23040G "Boris Slobodnik"into the fleet.
The event was held under the leadership of the Deputy Commander of the Black Sea Fleet, Vice Admiral Sergei Pinchuk. The ceremony was also attended by the commander of the base, Rear Admiral Viktor Kochemazov, representatives of the manufacturer, the administration of the hero city of Novorossiysk, veterans and clergy.
BGC "Boris Slobodnik" joined the formation of the protection of the water area of the Novorossiysk Naval Base of the Black Sea Fleet. In the near future, its crew will begin working out course tasks.
Earlier, the boat passed state tests in the Black Sea. During the tests, all life support systems, on-board equipment, and driving capabilities were tested.
