Moscow. June 18. INTERFAX-Ten Su-34 bombers conducted an exercise in the Voronezh Region with practical rocket and bomb attacks, the press service of the Western Military District reported.
"More than 200 flight and engineering personnel, as well as more than 10 Su-34 fighter-bombers, are involved in the tactical flight exercise," the report says.
The military reported that S-13 air-to-surface missiles, R-73 guided short-range maneuverable missiles, and 30-mm GSH-30-1 aircraft guns were used as air weapons.
"According to the plan of the exercise, the crews of supersonic Su-34 fighter-bombers performed elements of air combat, such as launching rocket-bomb assault attacks on objects that simulate command posts, clusters of manpower and equipment of the "enemy". Also, the suppression of the air defense means of the imaginary enemy was worked out with the help of the Khibiny airborne radio-electronic complex, " the report says.
