The first batch of 11 of the latest armored escort vehicles "Naparnik" will be delivered to the Russian troops in 2021, the head of the military mission Vladimir Kuimov told reporters during a working trip to the Remdiesel plant of the Deputy Defense Minister of the Russian Federation Alexey Krivoruchko.
"In 2021, 11 Partner armored vehicles of the Typhoon family will be delivered," Kuimov said.
According to the chief designer of "Remdiesel" Igor Zarakhovich, the car "Partner" is created on the basis of the armored car "Typhoon-airborne". The " Partner "is a more modern and more secure vehicle in terms of convoy escort," he said.
Also, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation this year will receive more than 50 sanitary armored vehicles "Lens", said Kuimov. According to him, "a contract has been signed for the supply of 56 medical armored vehicles "Lens" of the "Typhoon"family to the troops this year. The medical armored vehicle "Lens" is designed to search, collect and remove the wounded from the battlefield and from the centers of mass sanitary losses. As a base vehicle, an armored vehicle with a 4x4 wheel formula of the Typhoon family is used. The curb weight of the vehicle is more than 15 tons, its reservation provides protection for the crew and the transported wounded from armor-piercing bullets from a 7.62 by 54 rifle cartridge, as well as shrapnel.
During the visit to the plant, the deputy minister discussed with the company's management the implementation of the state defense order and the execution of state contracts, as well as the import substitution of foreign components and the production of armored vehicles of a new model range.
Remdiesel produces equipment for use in the Armed Forces, mainly armored vehicles of the Typhoon line of different classes and different wheel formulas. The volume of state defense orders at the enterprise is 93%. On average, the plant produces about 300 armored vehicles a year, and in 2020 Remdiesel produced 250 vehicles for the needs of the Ministry of Defense.
