Ukrainian engineers presented a mock-up of the ACE ONE multi-purpose low-visibility strike drone. In its class of combat drones, which can carry weapons up to one ton, ACE ONE is the number one, according to the developers, according to the publication Ligabinesinform.
On June 15, at the exhibition "Weapons and Security-2021", Ukrainian engineers presented a mock-up of the ACE ONE multi-purpose strike low-visibility drone, the correspondent reports LIGA.net
The drone was developed by 25 specialists from the Ukrainian aerospace industry, led by former CEO of Antonov State Enterprise Alexander Los and former head of the State Space Agency Vladimir Usov.
The development of the engine was carried out by the State Enterprise "Ivchenko-Progress" and "Motor Sich", the production of the glider-LLC "Gidrobest".
The drone is designed using low-visibility technology, which increases the survival rate of military equipment. It is capable of carrying weapons weighing up to a ton in its internal compartments and has "swarming capabilities".
The ACE ONE is 8 m long, 11 m wide, and has a maximum take-off weight of 7.5 tons. According to the developers, there have never been such drones either in Ukraine or in the world.
"In its class of combat drones, which can carry weapons up to 1 ton, - ACE ONE No. 1. It is developed on the basis of the latest technology-Stealth. Due to this, as well as its flat wing shape, the drone is virtually invisible to radar and difficult to calculate," added Alexander Los, Chief designer and project manager.
The speed of the ACE ONE is close to supersonic-1000 km / h. The drone is controlled by an artificial intelligence system that can control a swarm of such drones.
According to the calculations of the designers, the drone will rise to a height of up to 13.5 kilometers, and its combat radius will be 1500 kilometers.
ACE ONE is designed to perform operations: strategic, operational and tactical reconnaissance, assault operations in a wide range of heights, suppression of enemy air defense.
For a ready-made prototype that can be launched into the sky, according to the calculations of the designers, it takes about 30 more months. The financing of the design work was carried out with the money of the developers.
The cost of the ACE ONE swarm with a ground station ranges around $12-13 million.
