IRZ: cellular communication on domestic equipment

IRZ has opened another testing ground for innovative communication equipment. The oDAS RADIUS system is installed in the Karakulinsky district of Udmurtia.

Izhevsk Radio Plant, together with MTS, has started field testing of the oDAS RADIUS distributed antenna system developed by IRZ LLC.

The village of Zuyevy Klyuchi was chosen as a testing ground for providing coverage of LTE (4G) and UMTS (3G) cellular communication signals. There was installed a reinforced concrete support with a height of 30 meters with the oDAS RADIUS system. The source of the cellular signal is the base station of MTS PJSC in the village of Ust-Belsk.



Within a few months, this system will be tested and options for using the development of IRZ in MTS projects will be determined. Even today, we can talk about the positive results of the equipment - there is a good signal quality and data transfer speed.

In Russia, analogues of this equipment are not produced. The development of the IRZ will allow us to provide Russian residents in sparsely populated areas, as well as areas along roads and railways, with a stable mobile connection and high — speed Internet without unnecessary costs and quality, "comments Sergey Nevyantsev, Deputy General Director — Director for Business Development of JSC IRZ.
