We are talking about the period until 2030
MOSCOW, June 15. /TASS/. Russia will launch about 300 civilian spacecraft by 2030 to provide global communications and the Internet of Things. This is stated in the presentation of the First Deputy General Director of FSUE "Space Communications" Alexander Ganin, presented on Tuesday at the congress "Sphere" in the framework of the XIV International Navigation Forum in Moscow.
"In the period 2021-2029, up to 290 new civil satellites will be created and launched into orbit in the Russian Federation to provide global communications, broadcasting, broadband access (broadband) and IoT (Internet of Things - approx. TASS)", - it is noted in the materials.
Thus, as specified in the presentation, the total capacity of the Russian satellite infrastructure of communication and broadcasting will be more than 430 Gbit / s by 2030.
In particular, the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Space Communications" will launch 10 spacecraft of the AMU, AT and E series into geostationary orbit until 2030. Four Express-RV satellites will be launched into a highly elliptical orbit in 2024. 12 spacecraft of the Skif system will be launched into the middle Earth orbit (in 2022, the first satellite is planned to be launched, in 2024, one satellite will be launched, in 2026 - six satellites, in 2029 - four satellites). According to experts, 264 satellites of the Marathon system will be in low-Earth orbit by 2030.
