At the Adanak training ground in the Republic of Dagestan, a special tactical exercise of the calculations of the coastal missile complex "Bal" of the Caspian Flotilla (CFl) was held, said the head of the press service of the Southern Military District, Colonel Vadim Astafyev.
Units of the anti-ship complex marched over rough terrain to the task area. Upon arrival at the site, the personnel of the DBK " Bal " took the starting positions and began to search for targets.
The calculations of the launch batteries in the positional area reloaded the missiles on the transport-loading vehicles, and the crews of the control batteries deployed the self-propelled command post of the communication control "Mineral" to the combat position and performed combat tracking of the surface situation.
Also, the calculations of the DBK " Bal " improved the skills and abilities to determine the target bearing, transfer data to the combat use of the complex and worked out a set of measures for the delivery and replenishment of the ammunition of the launchers. In addition, the servicemen fulfilled the standards for the rapid change of starting positions and the exit from the retaliatory strike of the conditional enemy.
Having successfully completed the assigned tasks, the Bal anti-ship complex moved to the area of restoring combat capability.
More than 100 CFl servicemen took part in the combat training events, and about 20 units of military and special equipment were involved, including launch launchers, transport-loading vehicles, self-propelled command posts of communication control and military tractors Ural-4320.
