Moscow. June 14. INTERFAX-Russian President Vladimir Putin does not consider the number of aircraft carriers available to China excessive and does not consider China as a threat to Russia's security.
During an interview with NBC, Putin's attention was drawn to the fact that China is already working on a fourth aircraft carrier and asked why Russia does not oppose the militarization of the PRC, as it does with regard to NATO countries.
"The fact that there are four aircraft carriers is correct, because one should be in service, one should be on combat duty, one should be undergoing repairs, and so on. There is nothing superfluous here for China, " he said.
