SpaceX plans to provide aircraft passengers with satellite Internet

SpaceX plans to provide Wi-Fi during flights in airplanes. The company is negotiating with several air carriers, the Izvestia TV channel reports. For its project, SpaceX will use Starlink satellites. The network of devices will provide high-speed Internet around the world. The satellites will be connected using a laser communication line — they will not depend on ground stations. Since 2018, SpaceX has launched about 1.8 thousand Starlink vehicles — there will be 12 thousand of them in total.
