TSAMTO, June 8. The Russian Helicopters Holding Company (part of the Rostec State Corporation) has received approval from the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) for the installation of 24 passenger seats in the Mi-171A2 cabin.
The increase in the number of seats from 20 to 24 will give additional advantages to operators when performing passenger transportation.
"In accordance with the requirements of aviation regulations, the passenger compartment is equipped with energy – absorbing seats with four-point seat belts, which ensures a high level of safety when transporting passengers," said Leonid Belykh, Managing Director of the Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant.
The Mi-171A2 helicopter has the ability to convert quickly. The cargo cabin can be converted into a cargo, search and rescue or passenger version in a short time. The transport capabilities of the helicopter allow you to transport up to 4 tons of cargo inside the cargo cabin or up to 5 tons on an external suspension.
To increase the comfort and safety of the flight, the Mi-171A2 helicopter is also equipped with oxygen equipment, air conditioning and heating systems, a wardrobe and a luggage compartment. 8 evacuation points can be used for emergency evacuation of the helicopter by passengers.
The aircraft is equipped with new engines with a digital control system, an efficient carrier system with composite blades and an improved aerodynamic profile. The Mi-171A2 helicopter is equipped with a digital complex of on-board equipment KBO-17-1, made on the principle of a "glass cabin". It includes a flight navigation system and a system of general helicopter equipment with a data display display. The use of video cameras improved the visibility when working with the external suspension. Flight safety is ensured through the use of modern systems for preventing collisions with the ground, other aircraft and obstacles in the path of the helicopter.
