The new-generation S-500 Prometheus air defense systems and the Zircon hypersonic missiles will soon be mass-delivered to the military units of the Russian army. This was stated at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum by Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov.
According to Interfax, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation for the military-industrial complex noted that the president of the country said that the state tests of the S-500 are being completed.
"This suggests that we are already on the threshold of serial deliveries," Yuri Borisov said. A similar situation also occurred with the supply of hypersonic weapons "Zircon".
Earlier it was reported that the state tests of missiles with a speed of Mach 9 will be held in June on the frigate of the Northern Fleet "Admiral Gorshkov". For the first time, it is planned to launch hypersonic missiles at multiple-launch intervals at ground and sea targets. The first carriers of the "Zircon" missiles will be the ships of the project 22350 "Admiral Gorshkov" and "Admiral Kasatonov".
