TSAMTO, June 4. A series of small marine tankers of project 03182 will be built for the Russian Navy, which will join the auxiliary fleet.
The issue of serial construction of vessels of this project was discussed at a working meeting at the Admiralty, which was held under the leadership of the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, Admiral Nikolai Evmenov, and was dedicated to surface shipbuilding.
Project 03182 small sea tankers are multi-purpose vessels capable of transporting liquid and dry cargo. They are designed to effectively solve the tasks of supplying ships and vessels, as well as perform rescue functions at sea.
Earlier, on May 29, the small sea tanker "Vice-Admiral of Ferries", built at the Nizhny Novgorod enterprise "Volga" under the project 03182, was solemnly accepted into the Navy. The ceremony was held in Sevastopol. During the ceremony, the St. Andrew's flag was raised on the small sea tanker "Vice Admiral of Ferries".
In the near term, 3 more small sea tankers of this project will be built for the auxiliary fleet of the Russian Navy. Two of them will be built at the Eastern Shipyard.
The project of the small sea tanker 03182 was developed by the Zelenodolsk Design Bureau, according to the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
