"Do you think this is the first time we've talked to them? I personally gathered all the metallurgists three times, twice together with Belousov. We were engaged in persuasion... We are afraid that the planned measures, in particular, on the state defense order, due to the uncontrolled increase in prices by 70 percent, will lead to the fact that the country will not receive... (military products - "IF"), - said Borisov, speaking at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. "The Minister will be forced to appeal to the Supreme Commander - in-Chief, which threatens the country's defense capability and the implementation of particularly important measures for the state as a whole," the Deputy Prime Minister said.
He said that he is in favor of an active dialogue with metallurgists. "What is the volume of metal consumption for the state defense order? 1 percent of the total volume, " Borisov said.
According to him, the defense industry works under long - term contracts-for 10 years, and this must be taken into account.
