BEIJING, June 3. /TASS/. China has successfully launched the Fengyun-4-bi meteorological satellite into the specified orbit. This was reported on Thursday by the Xinhua news agency.
According to him, the launch took place from the Xichang cosmodrome (southwestern Sichuan province) with the help of a carrier rocket "Changzheng-3-bi".
According to the agency, Fengyun-4-bi is a new generation of meteorological satellites in geostationary orbits. The device will be used for meteorological research, weather forecasts and disaster prevention.
The current launch was the 372nd for the Changzheng series of launch vehicles.
