MOSCOW, June 2. /TASS/. The United Engine Building Corporation (UEC) of Rostec plans to start mass production of the TV7-117ST engine for the latest IL-112B military transport aircraft in 2023. This was reported to TASS by the general designer of UEC-Klimov (part of the UEC of the state Corporation Rostec") Vsevolod Eliseev.
"Under this program, it is planned to receive the letter O1 (serial production-approx. TASS) and complete the state bench tests by 2023. The peculiarity of the ROC on military subjects is that to obtain the letter O1, a serious amount of flight, resource and special tests is required, " he said.
The TV7-117ST engine was created specifically for the new IL-112B military transport aircraft. The engine power at the maximum take-off mode is 3100 hp, at the increased emergency mode-3600 hp. At the same time, the specific fuel consumption of the engine is at the level of the best world analogues. TV7-117ST engines are assembled entirely from Russian parts, assemblies and components.
The IL-112B is the first military transport aircraft developed in Russia from scratch in the post-Soviet period. Work on its creation has been carried out since 2014 at the Ilyushin Aviation Complex (part of the United Aircraft Corporation of the Rostec State Corporation). The aircraft will be able to carry up to 5 tons of cargo and is designed to transport soldiers, military equipment and weapons. The machine is created to replace the turboprop An-26 and AN-24. The launch of this aircraft is scheduled for 2023.
