SEVASTOPOL, May 29 – RIA Novosti. The solemn ceremony of raising the St. Andrew's flag on the newest small sea tanker "Vice Admiral Ferries" was held on Saturday in Sevastopol, the tanker was accepted into the Black Sea Fleet, the information support department of the Black Sea Fleet reported.
The ceremony was held at the Mine Wall, and there was also a festive rally with the participation of invited officials, veterans and guests.
The small sea tanker "Vice-Admiral of Ferries" of project 03182 was developed in JSC "Zelenodolsk Design Bureau" as a multi-purpose ice-class platform for transporting various cargo and people with the possibility of receiving Ka-27 class helicopter equipment (including unmanned aerial vehicles) and performing rescue operations. The tanker is able to efficiently supply surface ships and fleet vessels, transfer various cargo to them, and receive bilge water and solid waste. It is possible to use the vessel as a patrol or rescue vessel. The design of the hull provides for the possibility of working in the Arctic zone.
After being included in the fleet, the ship's crew will begin working out special course tasks, and then begin performing planned combat training tasks, the Black Sea Fleet noted.
The tanker has a full displacement of 3,500 tons, a length of 78.8, a width of 15.4 and a draft of five meters at full load. The crew of the vessel is 24 people. The small sea tanker "Vice-Admiral of Ferries "was laid down on September 1, 2016 at the Volga shipyard in Nizhny Novgorod and launched on December 20, 2018.
