In the NGO named after him. Lavochkina noted that the project provides for the technical re-equipment of the existing test base of the Fregat upper stages and is carried out in connection with the increase in the number of their production, to create a control and test station (CIS) of the Fregats.
In addition, the re-equipment is carried out in order to organize workplaces for conducting electrical tests of all modifications of the Fregat upper stages and to provide the enterprise with modern bench equipment.
"The need to create a CIS RBF is also due to the fact that identical test systems are used at the technical complexes of spaceports to ensure preparation for launch. In this regard, it is necessary to ensure the identity of the tests carried out at the spaceports and on the territory of the enterprise," the press service said.
