TSAMTO, May 28. The specialists of the International Mine Action Center (IPC) of the Russian Armed Forces have a high level of training, are ready to assist in humanitarian demining in any region of the world and train foreign military personnel in sapper skills.
This was stated by the chief of the engineering Troops of the Russian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Yuri Stavitsky, during the 4th International Conference on Humanitarian Demining and Countering Improvised Explosive Devices.
"We receive many applications for help. Of course, the decision on the use of Russian engineering troops abroad will be made by the country's leadership. The main thing is the high readiness of our forces and means to perform tasks in any region of the world, " Yu said.Stavitsky.
He recalled that Russian military engineers are currently working on issues of cooperation with their colleagues in Serbia, performing tasks on humanitarian demining of territories in Syria and Nagorno-Karabakh.
The chief of the engineering troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation also added that when solving the tasks of mine clearance in various countries, the MPC deploys its branches for training specialists.
Yu.Stavitsky said that today the military personnel from Armenia are being trained in the MPC, and the Kazakh military personnel are next in line. Belarusian and Cambodian specialists have applied for training. In addition, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have expressed their desire to train their military personnel.
The 4th International Conference on Mine Clearance was held on May 26-27 at the Patriot Convention and Exhibition Center, according to the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
