Judging by the video footage that appeared on social networks, the rotorcraft did not have any external damage. We are talking about a modification that does not have a millimeter-range radar AN / APG-78 Longbow, installed above the main rotor hub.
In addition to the standard 30-mm M230 automatic cannon, Apache also has blocks designed to launch 70-mm unguided aircraft missiles.
Local residents passing by the scene of the accident asked the American military guarding the chopper if they needed fuel, which caused a lot of jokes and comments on the Network.
While there is no data on the causes of the incident, but this is not the first such case with the AH-64 this year. So, in February, two pilots were injured as a result of the helicopter falling on its side. The incident occurred at the base of Fort Rucker in Alabama.
In April 2020, it was also reported about the forced landing of the recently received Apache Guardian in India. Then, too, there were no casualties.
