"Kalashnikov" boasted of its improved missiles. Yesterday, May 26, the press service of the company announced the successful completion of flight tests of guided missiles "Vortex".
"During the tests, 22 missile launches were made from the Ka-52 Alligator reconnaissance and attack helicopter at the Russian Defense Ministry training ground. As part of the improvements, the probability of hitting the target during short-range launches was increased, and stability in flightwas increased, "the press service of the Kalashnikov Group of companies reported.

Kalashnikov points out that the Russian Defense Ministry has already demonstrated these missiles: "previously, work was also carried out with a positive result to assess the possibility of hitting targets at ranges of up to 10 kilometers, which significantly exceeds the TTH specified during the development of the missile." During the last launches, the military was shown improved missiles. At the same time, the developers point out that the improvements in accuracy and stability "were achieved without changing the TTH of the rocket".
The "Vortex" missiles are designed to hit heavily armored targets at a distance of 800 m to 10 km. Missile launches can be carried out at an altitude of 10 to 4,000 m. The tandem cumulative warhead of the "Vortex" is able to penetrate 750 mm of homogeneous armor behind dynamic protection.
