The Army and operational-tactical aviation of the Southern Military District conducted a massive relocation to field airfields. About 100 planes and helicopters of the 4th Army of the Air Force and Air Defense participated in the exercises to withdraw aircraft from the attack of the simulated enemy.
The air maneuvers cover the Rostov, Astrakhan and Volgograd regions, Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories.
Within the framework of the large-scale exercise, operational groups of formations and military units of the air defense of the combined arms armies, coastal troops and naval aviation of the Black Sea Fleet, as well as units of electronic warfare, communications and material support were deployed.
The video footage of the press service of the Southern Military District shows the mass take-off of the latest attack helicopters Mi-28NM "Night Hunter", Mi-35M, Mi-8 and Ka-52. The Su-30SM and Su-27 fighters flying in formation, the Su-24 and Su-34 front-line bombers, and the Su-25 attack aircraft are also on display.
