TSAMTO, May 24. The latest robotic mine-clearing complex "Uran-6"has entered service with the engineer-sapper regiment of the Southern Military District (SE) in the Krasnodar Territory.
The complex is controlled by the operator using a remote control at a distance of up to 1 km, which provides a safe distance when mines and shells explode.
Despite its small size and weight of 6-7 tons, the machine is able to withstand blasting up to 60 kg of TNT. In addition, the equipment of the complex allows you to detect dangerous objects, and then determine their type. Thus, depending on the type of ammunition detected, the operator of the complex can choose the most effective and safe method of neutralization.
The complex significantly increases the safety of sappers when working with explosive objects.
The operator of the complex has already been trained in the mine action center of the Russian Armed Forces and will begin to master the robot sapper from the beginning of the summer training period, the press service of the Southern Military District reports.
