During the joint training with the EW units, the specialists worked out the issues of conducting aerial reconnaissance, covertly moving to the specified objects and transmitting digital information via secure communication channels. Being at an altitude of up to 3 kilometers, the Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicles made photo and video recordings of the location of firepower and personnel of the simulated enemy, provided timely data transmission to the command post.
In addition, thermal imaging cameras were used to detect the hidden movement of the enemy, the press service of the ZVO said.
"Orlan-10" is a multifunctional unmanned complex designed for conducting aerial reconnaissance and monitoring enemy targets in hard-to-reach terrain at an altitude of up to five thousand meters.
