Moscow. May 22. INTERFAX-An emergency operation of the ejection system occurred on a military aircraft in the Crimea, the pilots are alive, the press service of the Southern Military District reported.
"On May 21, during the preparation for the scheduled flight of the Su-30SM aircraft at the Saki airfield, an emergency operation of the ejection system occurred. As a result of the ejection, no one was injured. Both pilots are alive, " the district said on Saturday.
"A special commission is working to conduct a technical inspection of the aircraft and establish the causes of what happened at the airfield," the district said.
Earlier, an informed source told Interfax about the incident.
