"We experimented with growing spirulina algae. It is quite simple, but at the same time effective in the release of oxygen. That is, we can use it as a biological machine to restore the atmosphere, " the cosmonaut said.
He also spoke about how experiments were conducted on the study of ENT organs, during which the crew independently checked their hearing and breathing organs. In addition, during the expedition, the work of the human body in space was checked when performing physical exercises. During the experiment, the volume and composition of the exhaled air, as well as the work of the muscles, were tested.
"There was an interesting experiment "Pilot-T", which allows you to evaluate the operator abilities of an astronaut and their changes during the flight. That is, we tested our cognitive abilities and the ability to control the spacecraft from the moment of arrival at the station to return, " said Kud-Sverchkov.
