MOSCOW, May 22. /TASS/. The virtual reality complex being created at Roscosmos will be used for the production of equipment by remote designers. This was reported to TASS by the director of the Department of digital development of Roscosmos Konstantin Shadrin.
"Virtual reality systems can be used in different areas. For example, different legal entities, companies and teams of remotely distributed designers will be able to work with the same 3D model of the product, " Shadrin explained.
The complex can also be used for interaction in the field of robotics, display of multimedia content in various areas, including for the promotion of cosmonautics, said the director of the department.
The creation of a virtual reality complex is engaged in "RK-Digital" (industry IT integrator of Roscosmos). Last year, the first - generation Roscosmos XR-1 virtual helmet was introduced. This year, it is planned to create a complex "Roscosmos XR - 2" (the working name of the prototypes of the pre-production batch of sets of devices - "Sokol-1").
