A small missile ship of the Baltic Fleet repelled the attack from the water and sky.
In accordance with the combat training plan of the MRK "Geyser" of the Baltic Naval Base, it was supposed to perform artillery firing on sea and air targets.
According to the scenario of the exercise, while at sea, the Geyser was attacked by the ships of the imaginary enemy. And then the attack on it was made by flying machines.
As part of the first part of the exercise, the crew of the MRK performed a complex of artillery firing at a sea surface target, the head of the information support department of the press service of the Western Military District for the Baltic Fleet, Captain 1st Rank Roman Martov, told the Military-Industrial Courier. A towed shipboard shield simulating a ship was used as a target.
After the artillery firing, the Geyser successfully worked out the elements of the battle to repel the attacks of small targets and air defense. Electronic warfare exercises were also conducted.
