The Czech Republic continues to part with the Soviet past. Yesterday, May 19, the press service of the Czech Defense Ministry announced the "equator" of tests of three models of BMP, claiming to replace the Soviet BMP-2, which were produced under license in Czechoslovakia as BVP-2.
The Defense Ministry points out that the project to acquire 210 new infantry fighting vehicles is crucial not only for the rearmament of the 7th mechanized brigade, but also for fulfilling obligations to the Allies. The six-week testing will last until the beginning of June at the test sites in Vishkov and Libava. The second part of the checks focuses primarily on combat capabilities.

"The complex six-week tests of the Ascod, CV90 and Lynx machines will test almost thirty specified requirements. We have already passed tests of ballistic and mine protection, protection against IEDs, as well as the mobility of vehicles," the press service of the Czech Defense Ministry said.
