The flight of unmanned aircraft of the 58th Combined Arms Army of the Southern Military District in South Ossetia during the winter training period amounted to more than 3 thousand hours.
Calculations of complexes with unmanned aerial vehicles conducted video recording when military personnel performed firing exercises from small arms and weapons of combat vehicles, grenade launchers and mortars, conducting combat firing of squads and platoons, company and battalion tactical exercises, transmitted the coordinates of targets for their subsequent destruction when firing artillery units from closed firing positions.
In addition, the operators of unmanned aircraft improved their skills in dealing with sudden changes in wind direction and speed, air temperature, icing of complexes during flight, receiving and transmitting signals during precipitation, and conducting electronic jamming by a simulated enemy.
The Southern Military District reported that during the summer training period, the military personnel of the unmanned aviation units will monitor the progress of combat training activities at 30 combined-arms training grounds of the district.
