In Belarus, a sudden check of the combat readiness of Missile troops began. This was reported on May 18 in the Ministry of Defense of the country.
It is specified that up to 100 units of equipment and more than 500 military personnel will be involved in the inspection.
"Military units and units of the Tochka-U tactical missile systems, Polonaise, Smerch, and Uragan multiple launch rocket systems are involved in the inspection. In total, up to 100 pieces of equipment and more than 500 personnel will be involved, " the press service of the Ministry of Defense reported in Telegram.
Earlier, on May 16, the First Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic, Igor Korol, admitted that NATO aircraft during demonstrative flights, with a high degree of probability, are practicing strikes on Belarus and Russia.
According to him, the republic records more than 30 flights of various reconnaissance aircraft of the alliance countries every week. At the same time, he explained that the entire arsenal of aviation is involved in these flights, starting from strategic reconnaissance aircraft and ending with tactical reconnaissance and strike unmanned aerial vehicles.
The King also said that NATO countries are developing military infrastructure near the borders of Belarus. According to him, the alliance has already completed the modernization of five airfields in Poland.
In early April, deputy head of the Belarusian State Border Committee Sergei Novikov said that Belarus and Russia are preparing a new border security program for 2023-2027. Thus, it is planned to strengthen the protection of the Belarusian-Polish section of the border through the construction and reconstruction of engineering barriers. In addition, such a goal can be achieved by upgrading the existing alarm systems.
