The flagship of the Black Sea Fleet, the Guards missile cruiser " Moscow "and the frigate" Admiral Grigorovich " at a joint exercise in the Black Sea fired torpedoes and rocket bombs at a submarine of a simulated enemy. This was announced today by the head of the information support department of the Black Sea Fleet Alexey Rulev.
The exercises were held in one of the sea ranges in the Black Sea. The crews of the ships faced the task of finding and destroying the submarine of the imaginary enemy. In the role of an enemy submarine, the submarine of the Black Sea Fleet "Kolpino"was involved.
- During the exercise, the crews of the ships successfully performed the search and tracking of the submarine, as well as conducted combat exercises on the actual use of torpedo weapons and rocket launchers, - said Rulev.
The crews also conducted artillery firing on mock-ups of floating mines.
Joint exercises of the cruiser "Moscow" and the frigate "Admiral Grigorovich" will continue. The sailors will work out the conditional use of missile weapons on ship groups and ground objects of the "enemy".
