Calculations of unmanned aerial vehicles "Orlan-10" of the Krasnoselsky motorized rifle brigade of the combined-arms army of the Western Military District have started performing tasks to monitor the foci of wildfires since the beginning of the week.
Since the increase in the average daily temperature in the region and the increase in the number of tourists in the wooded area, the Orlan-10 UAVs have spent more than 100 hours in the air.
Monitoring flights last at least 8 hours a day, in the most fire-prone areas. On board the drone, photo and video cameras are installed, allowing you to conduct aerial photography in hard-to-reach areas of the terrain.
In addition, the multifunctional UAVs are equipped with infrared cameras, which allows you to detect minor fires and conduct reconnaissance at night.
In total, more than 50 military personnel of the combined-arms association of the ZVO are involved in forest fire monitoring activities.
