Ekranoplan
The company Regent (Boston, USA) received pre-orders in the amount of 465 million dollars from those wishing to purchase high-speed electric ekranoplanes "Seaglider", capable of flying over the water surface at a speed of about 300 km / h for a range of almost 600 km.
The idea of creating a "flying ship" – an ekranoplan belongs to the outstanding Soviet shipbuilding engineer Rostislav Alekseev, who embodied it in his legendary and still unsurpassed "Caspian monster"–" The moon " with a load capacity of 600 tons, which developed a speed of up to 500 km/h. Its numerous modern "descendants", in particular, the Airfish-8 delta-wing ekranoplane created in Singapore [...], looks much faster – its speed is limited to 190 km/h.

However, do not forget that in contrast to the combat "Harrier ""Seaglider" - the car is exclusively civilian and also on an electric course. Its main task is passenger transportation between coastal areas over short distances, where it is unprofitable to use aviation. "Seaglider" is very comfortable during takeoff and landing. During the acceleration stage, it uses hydrofoils. Takeoff takes place at a speed of 30 to 70 km / h, after which it continues to fly over the surface of the water. A number of the largest ferry and aviation companies became customers of" Seaglider". They are attracted, first of all, by such characteristics as speed – the ekranoplane is six times faster than ferries, and the price – they are half the price of airplanes. The new transport is content with the usual port infrastructure, which is much cheaper than what is required at airports.
