SEVASTOPOL, May 11. /TASS/. The crew of the patrol ship "Vasily Bykov" conducted a set of exercises in the Black Sea, repelling a simulated missile strike and conducting artillery firing. This was reported on Tuesday in the information support department of the Black Sea Fleet (BSF).
"According to the plan of the exercise, during the performance of tasks at sea, the ship's surveillance equipment revealed the use of weapons on the ship. The air defense calculations of the Vasily Bykov combat posts repelled a missile strike made from the ship of a simulated enemy, using an air defense system, " the report says.
It is noted that at the second stage of the exercise, the sailors practiced firing from the ship's artillery weapons at surface targets in the form of target shields, as well as at air targets that imitated the luminous aviation bombs dropped from the Black Sea Fleet's naval aviation aircraft.
It is specified that the crew of the "Vasily Bykov" carried out grenade throwing to practice actions to destroy the underwater sabotage groups of the conditional enemy while parked on an unprotected roadstead.
