At the rehearsal of the military parade in Tula, along with the already known samples, new military equipment was presented. For example, a tracked version of the mobile point of reconnaissance and target designation for the PRP-5 rocket and artillery systems.
If the modification shown earlier is made on the basis of the BTR-82 armored personnel carrier, then this version is on the chassis of the well-proven long-term service in the BMP-3 troops.
This infantry fighting vehicle is currently used not only in the land forces of the Russian Army, but also enters the Marine Corps of the Russian Navy.
The armored scout is equipped with the latest equipment, including a radar station. All this allows you to effectively detect the enemy at any time of the day.
Work has been carried out to strengthen the weapons - 7.62-mm machine guns were used on the samples of previous generations, now - 12.7-mm.
The upgraded BMD-2M will also take part in the celebrations for the first time. Installed on them, the Bereg combat compartment received an all-day fire control system with a new sight, stabilizer, and automatic target tracking.
The armament is reinforced with the Kornet anti-tank complex, whose guided missiles can have various combat units, including tandem ones, capable of destroying well-protected armored vehicles, and thermobaric ones for fighting low-flying air targets at a range of up to 10,000 meters.
