The demonstration of such skills took place at one of the air bases under the control of the LNA. The MiG-23 passed at the highest possible speed just a couple of meters above the runway.
A similar trick was performed by the crew of the Mi-24 fire support helicopter.
It is believed that in addition to the external effect, such use of technology can be useful in the conditions of a real battle, when it is necessary to sneak up on the desired object unnoticed by the enemy's radar stations.
During the fighting in Libya, such tactics have already been demonstrated by the pilots of the opposing sides.
The Soviet-made MiG-23 single-engine, variable-geometry fighters based in Libya were mainly used for strikes against ground targets. At the same time, quite powerful means of destruction were often used, for example, 273-kilogram single-use bomb cassettes RBC-250-275.
Also actively used are "flying tanks "-the Mi-24 rotorcraft of various versions, including the" P " modification shown in the video, armed with a double-barreled 30-mm gun GSH-30K.
