Roscosmos CEO Dmitry Rogozin showed unique footage of the origin of vortices and weather, captured by the Russian satellite "Arctic-M", launched in February. He posted the pictures on his Telegram channel.
One of the photos sent shows " the origin of vortices and weather over the northern hemisphere." According to Rogozin, on the basis of this information, Roshydromet began to develop weather forecast models.
"Tests of the Arktika-M spacecraft are continuing. Images of dynamic processes in the atmosphere on a global scale over the Arctic region, open up new opportunities for solving meteorological problems. Before the launch of the Arctic-M spacecraft, no one received dynamic processes in this area of the globe and with such frequency — we are the first, " he wrote.
Earlier, Rogozin denied a report about negotiations between Roscosmos and the American company SpaceX about the delivery of Russian cosmonauts to the International Space Station (ISS) using Crew Dragon ships. "No, we don't. What for? We have our own ships, " he wrote, commenting on NASA's information about the ongoing negotiations.
